What's in your butterfly bush?

Isn't it gorgeous? Some kind of western swallowtail.  I didn't hack down my buddleia from last year, so it's pretty big.  Wonder if this is a female laying eggs?  Or maybe it's a male having a rest from it's tiring journey. It showed up yesterday and has been there for nearly 24 hrs. now.  Very cool!

Pink & Poiple!

Two of the dark pink tulips have now turned a lovely purple.  Coupled with two light pink tulips and the last double pink camellia, I think they make for a lovely bouquet!

More Yellow Tulips

I swear I did not actually BUY yellow tulips, and yet they keep showing up in my bulb bed.  Hmm... must be a nefarious plot of some kind.

Volunteer scabiosa

This is a start that showed up about a good foot from the parent plant, which was a true pink, whereas this is more of a lavender pink.  Very pretty and much appreciated!

Purple hyacinth

Unexpected Tulip!

Sadly, I have no idea what tulip variety this is.  I planted a whole mess of them but would never choose such colors.  Still, it's fairly amazing.  I'll be curious to see what it looks like when it finally opens fully.
